Charlie McDonnell VidCon 2012

Charlie McDonnell, young adult vlogger from across the pond has been an attendee of VidCons for a few years now.  His popularity as an internet personality must've seriously grown because he commanded the level of buzz usually only reserved for stars like Justin Bieber or ____(insert Disney flavor-o-the-moment here)___.  Fans travelled from all around to see their favorite YouTubers and get a chance to snap a photo or get an autograph.  Charlie (of channel CharlieIsSoCoolLike) sounded exhausted from signing autographs for up to 9 hours a day.

Many of the top tier YouTube celebrities attended this annual conference started by The Vlog Brothers.  Jenna Marbles, Nanalew, Myster Guitar Man, the guys from Epic Rap Battles of History, Maker Studios entreprenewbies such as KassemG and Lisa Donovan were all in attendance, some of them performing.

Oh yeah, and Rebecca Black.  FML.

sXePhil - Famous YouTuber Review

Philip DeFranco (real name Philip Franchina) is a current events/comedy vlogger who hosts a show called "The Phillip DeFranco Show" on his long time YouTube channel sXePhil.  He has been making videos for several years and is considered one of the pioneers of the "YouTube show" and is one of the original and best known YouTube stars.
I have been watching Phil since very early on in his YouTube career.  There's really no way for me to communicate to you what it's like to have watched a YouTuber back when they were nobody, simply making amateur videos from their bedroom using nothing more than a webcam and iMovie, and then see them grow to the point where they are now millionaires, with an elaborate home studio, full or part time employees, and are one of the most recognizable faces on the internet.
I don't watch every one of Phil's videos because he has hundreds of them and they can be around 7 or 8 minutes long but I do continue to watch many.  For both the quality of his content and the sheer scale of his contribution I rate sXePhil a:

8.5/10
